A deep clean for your heating system

Powerflushing is a deep-cleaning process for central heating systems. Using a special high powered low pressure pump, water and cleaning chemicals are circulated at high velocity through your pipework and radiators, breaking down and flushing out sludge, rust, and debris. The result is improved water flow, restored radiator heat output, quieter operation, and a more efficient system overall

Cold radiators – Radiators that stay cold at the bottom, or take a long time to heat up, often point to sludge settling inside them.
Discoloured water – If you bleed a radiator and the water runs brown or black, this is a clear sign of rust and sludge in your system.
Noisy boiler – A build-up of sludge can cause banging or gurgling noises (kettling) and force the pump to work harder than it should.
Frequent breakdowns – Repeated faults or parts needing replacement can be a sign that debris is circulating through your system.
Before a new boiler install – Many manufacturers require a powerflush before fitting a new boiler, to stop debris from the old pipework damaging the new components.

Inspection – We check your system, including the boiler, pipework, and radiators, to assess how much sludge and debris has built up.
Connection – Our powerflushing pump is connected to your central heating system, usually via a radiator or the pipework near the boiler.
Circulation – Cleaning chemicals are added and circulated through the system at high velocity and varying flow direction, loosening years of built-up sludge, rust, and debris.
Radiator-by-radiator flushing – Each radiator is isolated and flushed individually to make sure no area of the system is missed.
Final rinse – Clean water is flushed through the system to remove any remaining chemicals and debris.
Inhibitor added – A corrosion inhibitor is added to help protect your system and prevent sludge building up again.
Once complete, you'll notice improved heat output, quieter running, and a more efficient heating system overall.
